Baptist Health Hardin is offering a free, virtual class to learn more about advanced care planning.
According to a news release, “Advance Care Planning — Conversations that Matter” is a class designed to help people understand possible future healthcare choices in light of their values and goals, and the importance of discussing those choices with the people closest to them.
The virtual classes meet the fourth Wednesday of the month January through October, and the third Wednesday of the month in November and December. All classes meet from 1 to 2 p.m. The next class meets Wednesday.
Advance care planning is for all adults, regardless of medical condition.
This type of planning prepares people and their loved ones for any future healthcare needs such as an unexpected emergency or accident, the release said.
