Bardstown Family Medical Center
Angela Ballard, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at Bardstown Family Medical Center, is a Nelson County native who enjoys caring for people in Bardstown and Nelson County.
Inspired by her mother, a longtime nurse at Bardstown Family Medical Center, Angela graduated from Spalding University in Louisville with a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and master’s degree in nursing (MSN). Angela began her career at Norton’s Hospital as a staff nurse and then returned to Bardstown to work at Family Medical Center as a Patient Education Nurse/Staff Nurse. She continued her education and later became an APRN providing care to thousands of patients in Nelson and the surrounding counties.
“It is a privilege to care for friends and family across the region,” Ballard said. “I see first-hand the value of quality healthcare, and Baptist Health Hardin continues to meet growing demand in this ever growing region.”
She has received many honors and accomplishments including a research article published in Oncology Nursing Forum and the American Cancer Society Public Education Volunteer of the Year. Angela is a member of the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners/Nurse Midwives and is certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
She and her husband Michael live in Bardstown and have four children and 5 grandchildren.
